我妻子的spouse open work permit在2023年9月初过期，我们在2023年7月初就已经提交了extension现在还是没有给结果（基于我的close work permit是2024年9月到期）。现在她申请一个学校学习，在提交study permit申请的时候需要填写一个目前身份到期的时间 （”When does your status in Canada expire?”） 如果我们选择2023年9月的话就会显示“Your status in Canada expired over 90 days ago. You cannot apply for restoration of status and are no longer allowed to stay in Canada.”但是我们还在等待extension的结果并不知道这个时间需要填到何时比较合适。请教大家一下这个情况我们需要怎么办？是否需要先申请一个visitor record然后再提交study permit申请？感谢大家

there are two options: 1. wait for the result of previous work permit application and decide what to do next 2. refer to public policy and see if she is entitled to restore or reapply her status now.
